Electric Fence Posts

The two different types of electric fence post are corner or end termination post and line, pigtail or strip grazing posts.
A post can be made from wood, plastic or metal, wood and metal posts require insulators for the attached fence wire, poly tape, poly rope, or poly wire.
A corner or end termination post is used at positions where tension is loaded, typically at corners and gates.
A line, pigtail or strip grazing post spaces and supports the fence wire, poly tape, poly rope, or poly wire between the load bearing corner and gate positions.
An electric fence normally requires less posts than a standard animal fence, horse paddock or enclosure.
